Birthday Party Fun

On Saturday afternoon, we headed inland to Westlake Village to Aaron's boss's house. I can't remember if I've mentioned before that the law firm Aaron has been clerking for this summer is a husband and wife partnership. This party had been in the works all summer for Dave's birthday and we were honored to be a part of the celebration this weekend. Dave is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and so lots of time and effort went into getting every detail just right. We were more than happy to take a few pictures to document the special day.

From L to R, top to bottom:
Row 1: The very adorably decorated tables were set up in the front yard of the house; the centerpieces were Cubs-themed and chock full of candy in plastic bowls that were designed like baseballs; the kids corner where they put sliders and chicken fingers for the kiddos.
Row 2: One of many beautiful appetizer plates from Bristol Farms in the backyard; more baseball decor; and Wrigley, one of the dogs of the house.
Row 3: Sliders and a very appropriately decorated cake that was a little hard to light candles on.
Row 4: The man of the hour blowing out his birthday candles; the party people; and the SUNDAE bar of toppings in Cubs hats.

We had a great time at the party and we also had a very productive weekend unpacking and getting more settled. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Hello August!

"The eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love." Psalm 33:18
