October Adventure

Hello on a very HOT day in Southern California. We are in the middle of a pretty serious heat wave here which is lovely except our poor little apartment is pretty much a sauna! Anyway, we'll survive.

We have big news from the Echols camp...we'll be traveling in October! We are very fortunate that Aaron was chosen to go on 2 of the international moot court trips this school year. He will be going to Frankfurt, Germany in the fall and Vienna, Austria in the spring. The best part (in my humble opinion) is that I get to go too! We have not talked a lot about the trip until now because we were not 100% sure that spouses would get to tag along but as of this week, we were (I guess, more accurately, I was) cleared, and as of yesterday, we have plane tickets. So, guten tag, Frankfurt!

So, here's the best part--Aaron does not have to be in Frankfurt for the competition until Wednesday, October 21. Pepperdine was going to fly him and his partner out on Tuesday, October 20. Since Aaron does not have class on Monday, we figured, why not fly out Saturday, October 17! Our flight gets us into Germany on Sunday, the 18th so we are looking to do a little bit of traveling before we have to be back in Frankfurt. Well, Europe being Europe, we have TONS of options. Here's where we need your help. There are pros and cons to each place, and loads more places as options, but we've sort of narrowed it down to the following:

Strasbourg, France

Prague, Czech Republic

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

...or Switzerland (Zurich or Lucerne)

We are so grateful for this opportunity and we are really looking forward to our trip. It's a pretty high bar to set for anniversary celebrations (we will come home on our 6 month anniversary)--haha, only kidding.

Look at that, we're almost to the weekend! Hope everyone has had a happy week.

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
