What Is A Dad? (sorry the pictures are pictures of pictures because I don't have a scanner!)

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.



A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.



A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...



I found this little blurb on the internet and I know that whoever wrote this had me and my dad in mind. I talked to my dad this morning but I have spent the afternoon working on bar exam homework and stuff which seems only fitting. My dad is the support and motivation for me wanting to join the ranks of HIS profession because in my eyes, being a lawyer has always meant being the kind of lawyer and person that my dad is.

Dad, I love you, and I can't wait to meet you on the other side. I will get there because of the hard work ethic you have instilled and fostered in me, the love for helping other people with the grace and respect I have learned from watching you, and because you have believed in me all along.
