New Living Room, New Echols' Family Member!

Ok, JUST KIDDING.

Earlier this week, we received an email from our friends Lynsey and Seth Eaton asking if we could watch their puppy, Sally Tomato, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, on Thursday night for a few hours while they helped out with some mock interviews at the Law School. Of course we were more than happy to help and it was great to catch up with the Eatons a little bit too. After Seth and Lynsey left her, she sat with us in the courtyard while we grilled out and ate dinner.

We cleaned up after dinner and then took Sally for a walk...

She was quite taken with the grass (aka, she ATE lots of it)

After we got home, she hung out with me in the kitchen while I baked a cake to bring to work this morning. She took to Aaron almost immediately and so he pretty much spoiled her to sleep:

For the rest of the time we had her, she was a little sleeping angel!

We had such a great time watching her and it sure made us excited to have a puppy of our own someday. Eventually, we think we'll get a big dog that we can run with, but being able to do this is pretty hard to pass up...


In the title of this post, you'll notice I said new living room, not just new couch and bookshelf. The day after we got the couch, we bought a new TV! Thanks to some very generous help from my father-in-law, we were able to buy a College-football-watching-worthy flat screen. Aaron is "little boy" excited and I can't get over that it's OUR living room to...well, live in! We are so grateful and we hope to use our blessings to bless others this next year while we're living on campus. Now you really need to come visit us!
